Diachronic Archaeological Museum of Agathonissi

Located ιn Kastraki, at the edge of the homonymous designated archaeological site and on the coast of the Maistros Bay, the Museum mainly presents the history of the defensive military settlement founded by Miletus at this site (4th century B.C.), as well as the productive activities of its inhabitants until its abandonment (2nd century A.D.). There is also reference to the island’s history, when habitation was transferred from its north part to the south and east coasts.
