Archaeological Museum of Sparti

The Archaeological Museum of Sparti is housed in a building designed by the Danish architect Theophilus Hansen in 1874 that was constructed to house thousands of finds from the Lakedemona province and other areas of the Prefecture Laconia. The exhibits date back to an extensive period spanning from the Neolithic age until the Late Roman times. Τhe finds from the great Spartan Sanctuaries hold a prominent position among the exhibits.
