Archaeological Museum of Pyrgos

The neoclassical building of the Municipal Market of Pyrgos, a work attributed to Ernst Ziller or his workshop, houses the Archaeological Museum of Pyrgos. The collection of the museum presents to the public specific objects and artifacts, dating back to the period spanning from the Prehistoric era until modern times. They shed light upon the structure of the society, the educational system, the economy, and the commerce as well as the professions and the burial customs of the citizens of the region.
