Museum of Chlemoutsi Castle

The museum located in the inner courtyard of the medieval castle of Chlemoutsi (13th century), fortress and palace of the Villeardouins is the first and only thematic museum to be dedicated exclusively to the period of the Frankish occupation in Greece (13th-15th centuries AD). Τhe visitor can travel back to the Crusaders' era and feel the charm of the medieval world admiring more than 500 objects originating in their majority from the excavations held at Ilia. Among them, visitors can admire architectural members and sculptures, ceramics, coins, frescoes, clothing accessories, and toiletries.
