Archaeological Museum of Olympia

The Archaeological Museum of Olympia, designed by the architect Patroklos Karantinos, was built between the years 1966 and 1975. The collection of the museum presents finds from the Sanctuary of Zeus in Olympia, one of the greatest and oldest religious and cult centers of the Greek world, and exceptional works of ancient art, such as the illustrious Hermes of Praxiteles, the Nike of Paionios, and the sculpted decoration of the temple of Zeus.
