Archaeological Museum of Aigion

The Archaeological Museum of Aigion, in the center of the modern city, is housed in a neoclassical building designed by Ernst Ziller. It was declared a protected monument of the old Municipal Market and opened its doors to the public for the first time in 1994. Its permanent exhibition includes finds from the provinces of Aigialia and Kalavryta dating back to a period that spans between the 4th millennium BC and Late Antiquity.
