Archaeological Museum of Tegea

The Archaeological Museum of Tegea, one of the oldest museums in the Peloponnese (1909), presents the founding and evolution of Tegea, the most powerful city of ancient Arcadia. A special emphasis is given to its sanctuaries, most notably on the Sanctuary of Athena Alea, a masterpiece designed by the famous sculptor Skopas. The interactive digital applications allow visitors to navigate a site created by IT and Geographic Information Systems.
