Archaeological Μuseum of Lykosoura

The Archaeological Museum of Lykosoura was founded at the end of the 19th century, courtesy of the Archaeological Society in Athens. The museum displays a part of the finds from the adjacent Sanctuary of Despoina, an Arcadian deity which is believed to be associated with the cult of Persephone, as well as items unearthed in the surrounding area of Lykosoura, the most sacred city of the Arcadians.
