Archaeological Museum of Thasos

The first building of the Archaeological Museum of Thasos was built in 1935 next to the Ancient Agora. It was created to house the finds from the excavations held in the area during the 19th century. The museum, which has now been expanded, presents the evolution and history of the island from the Prehistoric period until the Early Christian times.
