Archaeological Museum of Syros

The Archaeological Museum of Syros was founded in 1834-1835 as the central museum of the Cyclades. Since 1901 it has been housed in the City Hall, a building designed by Ernst Ziller. Among its most prominent exhibits are finds from Kastri and Chalandriani, two of the most important prehistoric sites of the Cyclades, as well as sculptures, inscriptions, and tombstones from the ancient city of Syros.
