Byzantine Museum of Phthiotis

The Byzantine Museum of Phthiotis is housed in the restored building of the so-called ''Kapodistrian” barracks that were built in 1836, in Ypati. In its rooms, through the archaeological finds exhibited, aspects from daily life in the area are presented covering the period from the Early Christian era to the Byzantine times. Notable exhibits of the collection are the architectural parts from the Byzantine temples of the region, as well as the numismatic collection of Konstantinos Kotsilis which was donated by him to the museum.
