Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Collection of Chania

The Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Collection of Chania is housed in the catholicon of the monastery of San Salvatore, a monument of the 15th century. Mosaics, funerary inscriptions, frescoes, icons, architectural sculptures, as well as ceramics, miniature works, and coins depict the historical and artistic identity of the prefecture of Chania during the Byzantine and post-Byzantine period.
