Archaeological Collection of Archanes

The Archaeological Collection of Archanes was created in 1993 as an initiative of the archaeologists Giannis and Efi Sakellarakis. Its finds originate from excavations held in the archaeological site of Archanes, where one of the most important Minoan palatial complexes (1900-1450 BC) was discovered, and in the wider area of the contemporary settlement of Archanes.
