Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki

The Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki is one of the largest museums of the country and the central museum of Northern Greece. Its permanent exhibition sheds light upon the history of Macedonia from Prehistory until Late Antiquity. The museum’s building, designed by the architect Patroklos Karantinos between 1960-1962, is a sample of the Modernist movement in Greek architecture.
