Sculpture Collection of the Osios Loukas Monastery, Boeotia

Inscribed on the Unesco World Heritage List, the restored Refectory of the Monastery of Osios Loukas is one of the most important monuments of Middle Byzantine Art in Greece. Its restored Refectory hosts the exhibition of Byzantine sculptures from the monastery and its ‘’metochi’ (parish church that is a dependency of a monastery)’ in Antikyra, as well as monuments from the area. There are also inscriptions, originally integrated into the monastery buildings, and a few detached frescoes from the 18th century, originating from the Refectory's original building.
