Archaeological Museum of Thebes

The Archaeological Museum of Thebes, one of the most important museums in Greece, is home to unique and rare finds, including the famous cylinder seals that were discovered in the "Treasure Room" of the Mycenaean Palace at Thebes and the painted clay larnakes discovered at Tanagra, the only found in mainland Greece. After its radical restructure and reorganization, completed in 2015, the museum covers the history and culture of Boeotia from the Prehistoric to the Post-Byzantine times.
