Archaeological Museum of Nisyros

The Archaeological Museum of Nisyros presents the daily life of the citizens of the island during a particularly long period. Its rich collection consists of Neolithic tools and vases from the volcanic islet of Giali, vessels from the island's necropolis, Hellenistic and Roman inscriptions and reliefs as well as exhibits related to the Byzantine heritage of the island. The collection also includes polychrome Çanakkale ceramics that were recovered from a modern shipwreck.
