Archaeological Collection of Volissos

The Archaeological Collection of Volissos is housed in a mansion of the 19th century, which once was a ''konaki'', the residence of the local Ottoman judge. The exhibition focuses on the history of the Ariousios wine, an excellent local wine, and is organized in three sections: the trade and the dispersal of amphorae and kylikes, the cult of Dionysus, and the type of vases used at symposia and other events of religious and social life.
