Archaeological Museum of Ioannina

The Archaeological Museum of Ioannina was designed by the architect Aris Konstantinidis at the beginning of the 1960s. The collection includes finds from the broader area of Epirus covering a long period, from the Lower Paleolithic period (250.000 years ago) to the Late Roman times. The most remarkable finds are those from the archaeological site of Dodoni, one of the most important sanctuaries of the Ancient Greek world.
