Diachronic Museum of Larissa

Among the newest archaeological museums, the Diachronic Museum of Larissa was inaugurated in 2015. Among the exhibits, a renowned Neolithic collection stands out, in addition to archaic, classical, but also Ottoman tombstones, early Christian mosaics, numerous coins, and jewels as well as a menhir. The exhibition narrates a 10.000-year history focused on the “constitutional” organization of Larissa and the nearby cities by exploring the notions of state, institutions, and authorities.
